Strong Growth in April Deliveries#

Xiaomi Corp announced that it delivered over 30,000 electric vehicles (EVs) in April, a notable increase from the previous month. In March, the company delivered just over 20,000 units, highlighting a significant upward trend in its sales.

Year-to-Date Performance#

So far in 2026, Xiaomi has sold approximately 109,000 EVs, which represents an 11% increase compared to the same period last year. This growth indicates a positive trajectory for the company's electric vehicle segment as it continues to expand its market presence.

Current EV Models and Future Plans#

Currently, Xiaomi offers two electric vehicle models: the SU7 sedan and the YU7 SUV. The company has ambitious plans, setting a sales target of 550,000 units for 2026.

International Expansion#

At a recent investor day, Xiaomi shared its strategy to begin selling EVs internationally. The company plans to enter the European market in the second half of 2027, with intentions to expand to other global markets by the first half of 2028. This move aligns with trends among other Chinese automakers, such as BYD, who are also looking to broaden their reach beyond domestic markets.
