Incident Overview#

A United Airlines aircraft encountered an unusual situation while approaching Newark Liberty International Airport. On Sunday, United Flight 169, which was arriving from Venice, Italy, struck a vehicle and a light post on the New Jersey Turnpike around 2 p.m. local time. Fortunately, the plane landed safely, and no injuries were reported among the 221 passengers and 10 crew members on board.
