Airtel Africa PLC followed with a gain of 3.26%, adding 11.00 points to end at 348.60. SSE PLC also experienced a positive session, increasing by 3.17%, or 83.00 points, to finish at 2,704.00.

Key Losers#

On the other hand, several companies faced significant losses. WPP PLC was the biggest loser, dropping 7.91%, or 20.20 points, to trade at 235.20. Persimmon PLC declined by 6.31%, losing 80.00 points to close at 1,188.50. HSBC Holdings PLC also saw a decrease of 6.05%, shedding 77.00 points to end at 1,195.80.
