Market Overview#
On Wednesday, Turkey's stock market closed higher, with the BIST 100 index increasing by 0.19%. This rise was supported by positive performances in several sectors, particularly Wholesale & Retail Trade, Leasing & Factoring, and Insurance.
Notable Performers#
Among the top gainers on the BIST 100, Kiler Holding AS saw a significant increase of 10.00%, adding 16.30 points to close at 179.30. Yeo Teknoloji Enerji ve Endustri AS followed closely with a rise of 9.99%, gaining 4.20 points to finish at 46.26. BIM Birlesik Magazalar AS also performed well, up 6.44% or 42.00 points, closing at 694.50.
Declining Stocks#
On the flip side, some stocks faced losses. Ulker Biskuvi Sanayi AS dropped by 6.26%, losing 7.50 points to trade at 112.40. Trabzonspor Sportif Yatirim ve Futbol Isletmeciligi Ticaret AS fell by 5.94%, down 0.06 points to end at 0.95, while Turkiye Halk Bankasi saw a decline of 5.40%, shedding 2.66 points to close at 46.58.

Overall, the number of declining stocks outnumbered those that rose, with 378 stocks declining compared to 222 that increased, while 17 remained unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
Commodities Update#
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for April delivery decreased by 1.27%, settling at $5,175.36 per troy ounce. Conversely, Crude oil prices rose, with April delivery increasing by 4.40% to $87.12 per barrel, and May Brent oil rising by 4.41% to trade at $91.67 per barrel.
In currency markets, the USD/TRY exchange rate was up 0.07% at 44.09, while the EUR/TRY rate fell by 0.26% to 51.08. The US Dollar Index Futures also saw an increase of 0.40%, reaching 99.20.
