Introduction#
Transense Technologies plc has announced the launch of the TLGX HP, a new high-pressure version of its Bluetooth tyre inspection tool, the Translogik TLGX. This development aims to meet the needs of specific industries requiring higher tyre pressure measurements.
Enhanced Pressure Range#
The TLGX HP expands the pressure measurement capabilities of the TLGX platform from 150 psi (pounds per square inch) to 350 psi. This enhancement is made possible through a new high-pressure sensing module, which was developed based on feedback from customers in sectors such as commercial vehicles, off-highway vehicles, and the aircraft tyre market.
Key Features#
In addition to its high-pressure capabilities, the TLGX HP retains the ability to measure digital tread depth from 0 to 30mm. It also offers options for integrating tyre RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) and TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring System) communications. This integration allows vehicle fleet operators, tyre suppliers, and service centres to efficiently capture and manage tyre inspection data.
Company Insights#
Ryan Maughan, Managing Director of Transense Technologies, emphasized that the launch of the TLGX HP is a direct response to customer demand for high-pressure tyre applications. He noted that extensive durability testing has ensured the reliability and precision that customers expect from the TLGX range. The TLGX HP is now available for order and is part of the company’s ongoing product development strategy, with more launches planned for 2026.
