Overview of Market Performance#

On Tuesday, Mexican stocks experienced a positive close, with the S&P/BMV IPC index rising by 0.76%. This increase was largely supported by strong performances in the Industrials, Consumer Goods & Services, and Consumer Staples sectors.

Notable Gainers#

Among the top performers on the S&P/BMV IPC, Controladora Vuela Compania de Aviacion SAB de CV saw a significant increase of 6.63%, adding 0.83 points to reach a closing price of 13.34. Declining Stocks#

Conversely, some stocks faced declines. Becle SA experienced a drop of 3.79% (0.62 points), closing at 15.73. Commodities and Currency Update#

In commodities, Gold Futures for April delivery rose by 1.86% (95.00) to reach $5,198.70 per troy ounce. However, Crude oil for April delivery fell by 8.84% (8.38) to $86.39 per barrel, while the May Brent oil contract remained unchanged at $91.05 per barrel.

In currency markets, the USD/MXN exchange rate increased by 0.04% to 17.60, and the EUR/MXN rose by 0.05% to 20.43. The US Dollar Index Futures decreased by 0.26% to 98.91.
