Market Overview#
On Friday, Israeli equities experienced a positive close, with the TA 35 index rising by 0.76%. This increase was largely driven by strong performances in the Insurance, Technology, and Financial sectors.
Top Performers#
The biggest gainers on the TA 35 included Next Vision Stabilized Systems, which saw a notable increase of 4.01%, adding 1,400 points to reach a closing price of 36,300. OPC Energy Ltd followed with a 3.12% rise, gaining 330 points to end at 10,900. Enlight Energy also performed well, increasing by 2.50% or 540 points, closing at 22,140.
Notable Declines#
On the downside, NICE Ltd was the largest loser, dropping 1.43% or 540 points to close at 37,260. Teva Pharmaceutical Industries also saw a decline of 0.90%, losing 84 points to finish at 9,290. Newmed Energy LP experienced a slight decrease of 0.56%, ending at 1,969.
Market Statistics#
Overall, advancing stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, with 232 stocks rising compared to 211 that fell, while 106 remained unchanged. In commodities, crude oil prices rose slightly, with April delivery up 0.54% to $96.25 per barrel, and Brent oil for May delivery increasing by 0.95% to $101.41. Gold futures, however, fell by 1.64%, trading at $5,041.96 per troy ounce. Currency movements showed the US Dollar gaining 0.31% against the Israeli Shekel, while the Euro declined by 0.35%.
