He refrained from providing a specific timeline, noting that former President Trump indicated that the war would not conclude this week. When pressed on how long Israel expects the conflict to last, Saar chose not to comment further.
Diplomatic Solutions#
In a related statement, German Foreign Minister Wadephul expressed confidence that both the U.S. and Israel are prepared for a diplomatic resolution to the situation. He pointed out that if Iran were willing to engage in diplomacy, a solution could be reached. However, he noted that current communications from Tehran suggest that Iran is not open to such discussions, highlighting ongoing tensions and the perception of a threat to Israel's existence from the Iranian regime.
