Market Overview#

Israeli equities experienced a positive close on Monday, with the TA 35 index rising by 0.53%. This increase was largely driven by strong performances in the Technology, Biomedicine, and Communication sectors.

Top Performers#

Among the biggest gainers on the TA 35, Navitas Petroleum LP Unit saw a notable rise of 3.98%, adding 530 points to reach a closing price of 13,850. Enlight Energy followed closely with a 3.29% increase, or 800 points, closing at 25,100. Teva Pharmaceutical Industries also performed well, gaining 3.07% or 288 points, ending the day at 9,658.

Notable Declines#

On the flip side, some stocks faced declines. Harel experienced a drop of 2.94%, losing 540 points to trade at 17,820. Migdal Insurance fell by 2.63%, or 50 points, closing at 1,850, while Menora Mivach held a decrease of 2.24%, shedding 1,100 points to finish at 48,090.

Market Statistics#

Overall, the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange saw more declining stocks than rising ones, with 245 stocks down compared to 223 that gained, and 84 remaining unchanged. In commodities trading, crude oil prices rose significantly, with June delivery up 5.68% to $87.28 per barrel, while Brent oil increased by 5.74% to $95.57. Gold futures, however, fell by 1.08% to $4,826.99 per troy ounce. Additionally, the US dollar strengthened against the Israeli shekel, rising by 0.66% to 2.99, and the euro also gained 0.75% to 3.52.
