On Monday, Israeli stocks experienced a positive trading session, with the TA 35 index rising by 1.79% to reach a new all-time high. This increase was largely supported by strong performances in the Insurance, Financial, and Banking sectors.
Top Gainers#
Among the standout performers on the TA 35, NICE Ltd saw a significant increase of 21.30%, adding 6,540 points to close at 37,250. Harel also performed well, rising by 6.00% or 1,120 points to finish at 19,800. Shapir Engineering Industry followed suit, climbing 5.13% or 217 points to close at 4,450.
Notable Declines#
On the other hand, some stocks faced declines. Newmed Energy LP dropped by 5.06%, losing 96 points to trade at 1,800. Tower Semiconductor Ltd fell by 2.59%, down 1,670 points to end at 62,900, while Amot Investments Ltd decreased by 2.04%, shedding 41 points to close at 1,973.
Market Breadth and Commodities#
Overall, advancing stocks outnumbered those that fell, with 250 stocks gaining and 236 declining, while 65 remained unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange. In commodities, crude oil prices rose slightly, with June delivery up 0.64% to $102.59 per barrel, and Brent oil for July delivery increasing by 3.04% to $111.46. Gold futures for June, however, declined by 1.33% to trade at $4,582.64 per troy ounce. Currency exchange rates remained stable, with the USD/ILS unchanged at 2.94 and the EUR/ILS steady at 3.44.
