Market Overview#

On Friday, Israeli equities finished on a positive note, with the TA 35 index rising by 1.15%. This increase was largely fueled by strong performances in the Technology, Insurance, and Communication sectors.

Top Performers#

Among the standout stocks on the TA 35, Tower Semiconductor Ltd saw a significant increase of 6.52%, adding 3,950 points to close at 64,570. NICE Ltd also performed well, gaining 3.19% or 950 points to finish at 30,710. Enlight Energy followed suit with a rise of 2.70%, increasing by 710 points to close at 27,000.

Notable Declines#

On the flip side, some stocks faced losses. Big Shopping Centers Ltd dropped by 2.55%, losing 1,990 points to trade at 75,910. Newmed Energy LP fell by 2.12%, down 41 points to end at 1,896, while Mivne Real Estate KD Ltd decreased by 1.89%, shedding 27 points to close at 1,402.

Market Dynamics#

Overall, the number of advancing stocks outpaced those that declined, with 336 stocks gaining compared to 120 that fell, while 95 remained unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange. In commodities, crude oil prices saw a decline, with June delivery down 3.35% to $101.55 per barrel, and Brent oil for July delivery falling 1.76% to $108.46. Meanwhile, gold futures for June rose slightly by 0.30% to $4,643.44 per troy ounce. Currency exchange rates also shifted, with the US dollar increasing by 0.24% against the Israeli shekel.
