New Capabilities and Resources#

The acquisition brings a variety of new capabilities to Granite, including earthwork, site preparation, concrete work, utility installation, and materials processing. Kenny Seng Construction generates around $150 million in annual revenue and has a strong expected profit margin. Additionally, Granite gains access to a hard rock quarry and potential development opportunities for sand and gravel pits, with a production capacity of one million tons annually and significant reserves of 45 million tons.

Kyle Larkin, Granite's President and CEO, emphasized that Kenny Seng Construction complements Granite's existing operations and strengthens its strategy in Utah. The company has been a key player in serving clients in education and civil infrastructure, as well as the private sector.

Granite, established in 1922, is one of the largest diversified construction companies in the U.S., with a market capitalization of $5.37 billion and recent revenue of $4.42 billion. The company has shown impressive growth, delivering a 55% return over the past year. Recent financial results also exceeded expectations, with earnings per share of $1.40 and revenue of $1.2 billion in the fourth quarter of 2025. Granite has secured significant contracts, including a $495 million project with U.S. Customs and Border Protection, indicating a strong future outlook.
