Overview of Geely's Financial Performance#

Geely Automobile has announced a slight increase in its annual profit, attributed largely to strong sales of electric vehicles (EVs). The company's profit for the year reached 16.85 billion yuan (approximately $2.45 billion), a modest rise from 16.81 billion yuan the previous year. Revenue also saw a significant boost, climbing 25% to 345.2 billion yuan.

Vehicle Sales Growth#

Total vehicle sales for Geely surged by 39%, exceeding 3 million units sold. This growth was primarily driven by high demand for electric and hybrid vehicles, which made up over half of the total sales. The company reported a remarkable 90% increase in new energy vehicle (NEV) sales, thanks to the success of its Galaxy lineup and consistent performance from its premium brands, Lynk & Co and ZEEKR.

Profit and Dividends#

Excluding one-off items, Geely's core profit increased by 36%. This improvement reflects better operational efficiency and effective cost management, even amid fierce price competition in the Chinese auto market. Additionally, Geely proposed a final dividend of HK$0.50 per share, an increase from HK$0.33 the previous year.

Future Outlook#

Looking ahead, Geely aims to sell approximately 3.45 million vehicles in 2026. The company plans to enhance its investment in intelligent driving and electric vehicle technologies to stay competitive in the evolving global market.
