On Wednesday, French equities closed lower, primarily driven by losses in the Healthcare, Consumer Goods, and Consumer Services sectors. The CAC 40 index, which tracks the 40 largest companies listed on the Paris Stock Exchange, fell by 0.19%. The broader SBF 120 index also experienced a decline, dropping 0.25%.

Notable Gainers and Losers#

Among the top performers on the CAC 40, Renault SA saw a notable increase of 2.59%, closing at 28.90. Capgemini SE and TotalEnergies SE also posted gains, rising by 2.04% and 1.83%, respectively.

Conversely, Euronext was the biggest loser, down 2.51% to 136.10. Other significant declines included Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield SE, which fell 2.09%, and Stellantis NV, down 1.57%.

In the SBF 120 index, Soitec SA stood out with a remarkable gain of 16.14%, closing at 51.30. Vusiongroup SA and Elis Services SA also performed well, rising by 5.68% and 3.19%, respectively. On the downside, Eurazeo faced the largest drop, down 11.61%, followed by Atos SE and Vivendi SA, which lost 6.40% and 3.54%.
