Investment Overview#
Datavault AI Inc. has announced a significant investment of $120 million from Scilex Holding Company. This funding will support the expansion of Datavault's edge network, which is designed to utilize advanced quantum-ready technology. In exchange for this investment, Scilex will receive a portion of the revenue generated from the network.
Revenue Participation Agreement#
Under the terms of the agreement, Scilex will earn 30% of the gross revenues from Datavault's network until it receives a total of $250 million. After that, the percentage will decrease to 15% until total payments reach $1.2 billion, and then to 5% thereafter. This structure allows Scilex to benefit from the network's success while providing Datavault with the necessary capital for growth.
Deployment Plans#
The funds will be used to establish edge network infrastructure in approximately 100 cities across the United States. Datavault AI has already secured Nvidia GPUs, valued at $1.2 billion, to support this deployment. The initial rollout is expected to begin in New York and Philadelphia, with plans to have 25 operational locations within the first year and 100 locations within three years.
Company Developments#
In addition to this investment, Datavault AI has made strides in securing patents related to data monetization technologies. The company is also expanding its high-performance computing GPU network and aims to tokenize agricultural data assets in partnership with AgSensor Solutions. These initiatives reflect Datavault's commitment to innovation and growth in the tech sector.
