Market Overview#

Colombia's stock market saw positive movement on Friday, with the COLCAP index increasing by 1.40%. This rise was largely fueled by strong performances in the Industrials, Services, and Agriculture sectors.

Notable Gainers#

Among the top performers on the COLCAP, Grupo Cibest SA led the way with a 2.35% increase, adding 1,840 points to close at 80,120. Corporacion Financiera Colombiana SA followed with a 0.83% rise, gaining 140 points to finish at 17,100. Interconnection Electric SA ESP also saw a modest increase of 0.69%, adding 180 points to close at 26,300.

Declining Stocks#

On the downside, Mineros SA experienced the largest drop, falling 6.48% or 880 points to trade at 12,700. Organizacion Terpel SA and Celsia SA also faced declines, with losses of 4.94% and 3.62%, respectively.

Overall, advancing stocks outnumbered those that fell by a significant margin on the Colombia Stock Exchange. In commodities, US coffee prices rose by 3.41%, while cocoa and gold saw declines. The exchange rate for the US dollar against the Colombian peso increased by 0.58%.
