Exceptional Dividend Announcement#

Bolloré Group recently revealed that it will distribute an exceptional dividend of EUR1.50 per share to its shareholders. This payout is made possible by proceeds from the sale of its logistics businesses, which have generated significant revenue for the company.

Share Price Surge#

Following the announcement, Bolloré's shares experienced a notable increase, rising as much as 14% on the day. This surge reflects investor enthusiasm regarding the company's financial decisions and the substantial dividend payout.

Financial Breakdown#

The total dividend distribution amounts to EUR4.2 billion, which is derived from the EUR10 billion the company recovered through the sale of its Bolloré Africa Logistics and Bolloré Logistics divisions. With a share price of EUR4.368, the dividend yield is impressive at 34%. When factoring in the ordinary dividend of EUR0.08, which includes a previously paid EUR0.02, the yield increases to 36.2%.

Future Plans#

The exceptional dividend payment is scheduled for the end of June. Additionally, Financière de l’Odet, which holds 71.8% of Bolloré’s shares, will receive a portion of this dividend. The holding company has plans to distribute its own exceptional dividend in the second half of 2026, which will represent at least two-thirds of the dividend it receives from Bolloré.
